Let’s Start with what I’m not.
I’m not a KOL*. I’m not a discord manager. I’m not here to help anyone to promote their next rug. I’m a marketer with 30 years experience that has worked with global brands like Microsoft, Sony and Barclays.
I love helping brands and businesses to simplify what they tell their customers. I’ve been very fortunate to work with some incredible companies and projects and brands launching products and services for businesses around the world.
I’m passionate about crypto, web3 technology, communities and decentralisation. What really excites me is the opportunity for brands and projects to engage differently with their customers, audiences and the wider public.
My journey in web three started as it did for many – with a series of underwhelming projects that failed to deliver (the rugs that we all talk about).

A few months after joining the space, I discovered a British based project called Creepz (now Overlord) which formed the bedrock of the years to follow. Consequently my journey has included angel investments, advising new projects, a large number of losses and the odd win.
It’s also involved a lot of friendships, quite a few IRL crypto events and a process of continual discovery as the space evolves.
I always tell people that I’m in crypto to have fun, to learn and to make connections. In truth it’s also always been about R&D to help brands understand what opportunities exist within web3 but also to help web3 brands understand how best to utilise the expertise and experience of people like me who have had a marketing career in web two.

I’m an avid collector and thoroughly enjoy the experience of meeting new people so I’m proud to hold pieces from Pudgy Penguins, Bored Apes, GodJira, Creepz, SugarTown and many others notable NFT projects.

- KOL = Key Opinion Leader (aka Influencer). And horrendous jargon.

Deadly Serious. Sometimes.
Outside crypto I’m a proud father of two, a happily married husband of 25 years, a coffee snob, a collector of NewEra hats and an all around lover of mischief.
I’ve surfed since I could walk and despite my advancing years, I still attempt to get on a board whenever I can.
Oh, and if it’s not already obvious, i don’t take myself too seriously. Unless i need to, in which case, i’ll almost certainly take the bunny ears off.
Nonsense that i bribed SOME FRIENDS to write:
“moonfuel is the perfect mix of posh and degenerate. The gold standard in terms of web3 participants”
